I’ve been on a ton of different exchanges before like Cex, CoinBase, Cryptsy, the big ones. But Bittrex takes the crazy cake.
A little while ago I made a small deposit in an attempt to try the platform out. I bought a couple Waves, and then I was slapped with a notification saying that my account was disabled. I sent a ticket. They replied that my account will be locked for a minimum of 24 hours before it becomes unlocked.
“Accounts that are valued at more than 1k will require additional time.
Generally, we will re-enable your account within a day.”
So I wait for over a day before I try to buy more coins. Same message pops up saying my account is blocked. The support guys tell me that my account needs to have at least some basic verification. However, nowhere during the registration phase was I told that at any point in time do I need to provide info.
So, in order to even get my money back I need to provide some ID, and then pay a fee to get it out. It just seems odd that to withdraw my initial deposit I have to provide them with a lot of personal information…
